ABOUT THE REGION

Lagoi Bay, Bintan

Lagoi Bay is home to Bintan’s first seaside residential estate. It is an exclusive gated community housing 164 resort style luxury 1-to-4 bedroom villas built over 13 hectares and situated at a prime beachfront location.

Bintan Island lies in close proximity to Singapore, being a mere 45-minute ferry ride away from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. Established resorts such as Banyan Tree, Angsana Hotel and Spa, Nirwana Gardens Hotel, Club Med and Bintan Lagoon Resort, are but a 10-minute drive away. Together, these properties share 36 F&B establishments and four golf courses between them.

Lagoi Beach Village

The Lagoi Bay community is thriving, with recent developments including all-in-one entertainment centre Lagoi Village, as well as upcoming hotels such as The Sanchaya, Alila Bintan, Quincy, and Swiss-Bel. Exciting outdoor activities are currently available (e.g. treetop adventuring; quad-bike rides) with many more planned for the future.

The heart of the Lagoi Bay Development, Lagoi Beach Village, is centrally located along the picturesque beachfront. Once a coconut plantation, this site will serve as a landmark synonymous with Bintan Resorts, just as Patong Beach is to Phuket and Kuta Beach to Bali.

More than that, the village has become a bustling hub of activity, as people from the surrounding resorts congregate to enjoy alfresco dining, cocktails by the beach, local handicrafts or a traditional spa experience. A food court has also been built, complete with pedestrian walkways, lush landscapes and cascading water features – set in a contemporary, Indonesian manner.

For those more inclined to mall shopping, an anchor mall designed by one of Indonesia’s leading architectural consultants, PT Airmas Asri, can be located a little further inland.
